Art and Crafts Session 19 August 2023

By Echidna Sixer Benjamin It was about 8.50am when everyone got into the Kidzone. The Senior Sixers, Ewan and Donald, blowed the whistle to get everyone in horseshoe. I had to keep on arranging my members uniform as it was not properly done. After the parade, we went into Indian File. Kaa then announced that we were going to make Farewell Gifts for the P6 scouts. We had to write a letter and decorate a frame for them. We went into our Six corner and started the decorations. It was hard to control the Six as everyone was walking around and talking to each other. However, I managed to control them after a few tries. Once we were done, we had to display our artworks in front of our Six. Next Bagheera handed the time to the Senior Sixers to lead the pack. The Senior Sixers decided to call all the sixers out and lead the pack in singing song. We ended off with the Sunset Party and had to go for six council.

Pancake Making Competition 12 August 2023

By Bilby Sixer Zeyu We arrived at 9am for the color party. We lined up in horse shoe which took some time as some of the cubs were still not sure what to do. After we got into horse shoe, Donald started the color party. It was Emu’s turn to raise the flag. After color party, we lined up in Indian file. Ikki took some time to explain the purpose of 1 minute of silence. Ikki explained that, during the 1 minute of silence, we are supposed to plan ahead mentally for the day’s activities and set personal goals for the meeting. After that, we had Six Corner. In their Six Corner, the cubs shared what they have brought for the pancake making competition. Some cubs brought fruits, others brought chocolates. They discussed how they were going to decorate the pancake. After six corner, we changed into half uniform. After all the six had changed into half uniform, Bagheera told us that the canteen is ready to cook the pancakes. At the canteen, Raksha briefed us about how to make a pancake. First,...

'KNOT' AN ORDINARY MEETING! 5 August 2023

By Senior Sixer Ewan Mark Tan I was excited about our upcoming meeting about pioneering activities. Today was going to be a day of discovery and learning. I arrived at school early to set up the flag pole, eager to make the most of it. Donald and I blew a whistle to signal the start of our activities, forming a horseshoe formation. With this first step completed, we moved on to a colour party, aligning ourselves in Indian file. *GETTING IN FORMATION* Repetition was essential as we practised switching between the horseshoe and Indian file formations. Our initial attempts were a little slow as we tried to improve, but we persevered. After working on our formations, we settled down and took attendance. It was time to divide into six corners, allowing the sixers to interact with their group members and offering scarf-tying advice to those who needed it. *A PIONEERING ADVENTURE* As we resumed our Indian file arrangement, we were given instructions and reminders about the day's activitie...
