First Scout Meeting, 12Jan2019

Written by Kwan Kai Fong, Assistant Senior Sixer and scribe.
It was the first ever scout meeting for the whole unit. Some of us looked happy while others looked sad. Even before the meeting started we did get a new batch of recruits, quite a number of them to they looked tired, and I was guessing that they were tired as they may not woke up this early before. As usual we set up the flag pole and did the scout promise while the recruits were watching of course. We got into Indian file and the teachers collected the scout log from the Sixers I could tell some did well in designing and writing I was happy as they had met the standard I am sure the others will follow this example. Next was the rules now they gave the sixes more opportunities to get more points and we sang songs like the bee song, father Abraham and flee fly. As it was getting to 11am we did the sunset party as the recruits prepared for the briefing. I and the Senior Sixer were forced to go for the briefing as we were examples during the briefing they talked about ranks, badges, uniform and about the recruit camp that will happen the following week.
