First Meeting on 17 January 2026

Term 1 Week 2 By Deputy Senior Sixer Isaac Li I arrived at Kidzone today and found my fellow Sixers setting up the flagpole. Soon after, we formed a colour party in the horseshoe formation. We began with Six Corners, where the Sixers met the Cubs after a long break and set expectations for the year ahead.  After that, we started the Best Six Foot Drill competition. Each sixer had to train their own six to practice some simple commands like “Senangdiri” and “Sediya” and “Kelua Baris”. I joined Koala to help them and the six of 5 did pretty well. We then went to go for the competition. In the end, the six coached by Michael and Ryan – Wallabat – won first place and we were a bit disappointed. Nevertheless, we learned how to do the foot drill better and were prepared for next time.  Then, we played Butterflies and Bees with Grey Wolf for half an hour. I was the bee for a round along with Michael and Ryan, and we were the only bees that managed to capture all the butterflies...

Sixer Refresher Course on 10 January 2026

  Term 1 Week 1 By Possum Assistant Sixer Ming Heng   On 10 January 2026, I went to Scouts feeling refreshed but unsure of what to expect, as no one had informed me about the details of the day’s event. When the meeting started, we did not have our usual colour party like in normal meetings. Instead, only sixers and assistant sixers were present, rather than the full six members who usually attend.   During this Sixer Refresher Course, we revised our foot drill knowledge and flag-raising procedures. In the first activity, which focused on whistle commands, we had to memorise the different whistle signals for “horseshoe formation”, “Indian file”, “assistant sixers and sixers gather”, “sixers gather”, and “assistant sixers gather”. We were then tested by the senior sixers. They blew the whistle commands according to Ikki’s instructions, and we had to raise our left or right hand or leg to show that we understood the commands.   After that, we moved on t...
