Handover Ceremony 25thJuly2020

Written by Ker Rui Min, Senior Sixer & Scribe Today, instead of our usual scout meeting when we were split into 2 halves, we were all together on zoom at 10 am in the morning. I was very excited because today, we were going to have the first ever virtual handover ceremony! Soon, it was time to start. However, not everyone was here as some of them had not read the email that Raksha had sent out. So, we stared without them. As usual, we had our colour party. This time, we had to watch a video and follow accordingly. Then, we continued on our song journey with a song from Korea called Arirang. After watching the music video, we were told learn how to sing it. After that, it was finally time to start the handover ceremony. We watched another video. This time, it was about the new appointment holders. After that, it was to have six corner. We were told to give some advice to the new appointment holders. During this time, we told the new sixers about what to take note...

Odd Jobs Meeting 11thJul2020

Written Farren Lee, Sixer & Scribe The 6th Zoom Meeting on 11th July was an Odd Jobs Meeting. We started off with our now usual way of starting the meeting when Baloo teaches us a new song from a different country. Today was a Thai song called Loi Krathong. The song is sung during the annual Loi Krathong Festival held over the course of three days usually celebrated with the lighting of lanterns.  We had a Mini-First Aid Session where my video was included! I was demonstrating an example of different types of bandages.  Hand Bandage Knee Bandage Arm Sling Afterwards, we played another Mentimeter game this time on the topic of Scouting. There was some trouble with the game as the website kept crashing. But in the end, the results were...never announced because no one knows who won. As I’m from the first badge for the Zoom Meeting, I do not know about the results for the second meeting.  We ended off the meeting with the announcement of the first...
