Scout Meeting, Saturday, 7th July 2012

Our first scout meeting after the long June holidays! Cubs returned the Donation Draw tickets which they had sold, and some took additional ones to sell - hope we will sell more than last year. Akela then gave out Progress Badges and Proficiency Badges - he said that it was a record number this time, with 32 handed out! Well done, cubs, and hope more will work hard to get their badges. Claudia alone received the Bronze and Silver Arrows at the same time, and 5 proficiency badges. Try beating that. Then the top Jobweek earners received their specially made leather badges. JOnathan Koong was the top earner, and got the one and only Black Woggle! The Platinum leather woggle was sepcially introduced this year, for those who earned $500 or more. Other got their Gold and Bronze leather woggles, and those who earned $120 get the Singapore Scout Association arm pouch. Then a game of blindfold followed - each Six sent a reperesentative to get a beanbag about 10  away - blindfolded. Lots and loots of shouting ensued. It wasn't clear whether each's rep could make out the instructions being screamed out by 100 various of varying pitch. Soon, the end of our first meeting for the semester.
