On Saturday, we were supposed to come and celebrate Chinese New Year with the old folk and play games with them. Since the leaders were preparing for the arrival of the old folk, they couldn't conduct badge testing, so I could come later. When I arrived, they were about to blow the whistle and start the colour party. Following the colour party, we were instructed to wait for the old folk at the bus bay.
After a while, the old folk still hadn't arrived. They called, informing us of a delay, unable to arrive on time. Consequently, we proceeded inside, where Greywolf informed us that we would play a game with the old folk involving throwing table tennis balls onto an egg tray. The objective was to line up the most balls in a row, column, or diagonally to win.
Soon, they arrived. The bus carrying the old folk parked in a parking lot, and they disembarked, making their way down from the bus. We guided them into Kidzone 2, where the games were set to take place. They settled on the benches prepared by the leaders, who then announced the next steps.
After the games, we escorted the old folk to the canteen, where arts and crafts kits awaited them. We observed, taught, and assisted them with their arts and crafts projects. Following the creative activities, the old folk enjoyed their lunch.
Unaware of what was on the menu, I was called upon to distribute lunchboxes and cutlery as part of my responsibilities. As I performed this task, I noticed one of the old folk eating a dish consisting of bee hoon, broccoli, and other ingredients.
Another old folk beckoned me over, seeking assistance with adjusting their phone's screen brightness. Swiping up, I accessed the panel for simple controls, yet couldn't find the brightness bar. Upon realizing it was a Huawei phone, I navigated to the settings and located the brightness control bar, promptly adjusting it. Grateful for the help, the old folk thanked me, and I returned to my seat in the canteen, lining up in Indian file.
The leaders gave us buns and allowed us to eat them. After we finished, we and the old folk returned to Kidzone 2, where we handed out goodie bags and coin lanterns we made during the last meeting. Afterward, the old folk headed home. We waved goodbye to them at the bus bay, and following that, we were also dismissed.
