Robot Making 22ndAug2020
Written by Foo Zhen Xi, Sixer & Scribe
I had just logged into the scouts zoom call ready in my uniform. Raksha warmly greeted everyone then it was time for horseshoe flag raising. After that, Rui Min the senior sixer, conducted 1 minute of silence then we started the day. Kaar broke us up into our breakout rooms to make of robot out of recycled materials with a theme.
My six decided to do a compartment robot with a lot of compartments to hold things and our theme was the earth, along the lines of recycling. I made my robot by cutting open a box then put two cups on top and two on the sides. I then cut out some blue recycled paper into circles then drew green spots on them and stuck it to my robot. I checked with my six to see if they were doing okay and luckily they were all doing fine.
After that we got called back into the main meeting room to present our robots. I represented my six this time. Finally after seeing every sixes robots, it was my turn to present my robot. It went well and Raksha told my whole six to show our robots. To end of the day, Mr Tan reminded us to check the Henry Park Pelican Scouts Facebook page to see if we have any undone scout activities there and to post our robots there then everyone left the meeting.
