Senior Sixers, Sixers, Asst Sixers Refresher Meeting 4thJan2020
Written by Ross Pary, Senior Sixer and Chief Scribe
Today was the Sixer’s and Assistant Sixer’s meeting, so we all arrived fairly early, at about 8 to 8.30a.m. Even though the meeting started at 9.30a.m. . The meeting started with Mr Cheong explaining to us about our goals for discipline in 2020. He wanted us to improve it on a massive scale.
First, we went into Indian file and practised our lines without me or Thirrushan reminding us. So far, so good. Then, Mr Cheong told us into columns of 3 and practise marching. We listened to his commands carefully and managed to march properly.
Mr Cheong then left for another scout meeting. Mdm Kerina took over the rest of the meeting and showed us how to tie the flag and how to do sunset party. It was a bit difficult for the sixers but in the end they managed to get it done properly.
After that, Mdm Kerina told us P6’s that since we were service scouts, we needed to prepare the skit for the new recruits. All too soon, the meeting ended. I am very excited for this year and the new recruits!
